Biodiversity in Focus: Conservation and Research Forum

Explore the science behind protecting the planet’s ecosystems at Biodiversity in Focus, a full-day forum celebrating conservation, research and field innovation.

This event brings together researchers, students and environmental professionals to discuss the challenges of biodiversity loss and the ways biological science can help address them. Sessions will feature talks and case studies on habitat restoration, species monitoring and ecological data modelling.

Guest speakers include Dr Elizabeth Smith Conservation Biologist at the Wildlife Research Institute, and Prof William Brown Head of Biological Sciences at Ludlow University. A student-led panel will also share insights from recent fieldwork in marine ecology, rewilding projects and conservation genetics.

The forum concludes with a collaborative workshop exploring strategies for sustainable research and community engagement in conservation work.

Who should attend: students, researchers, conservationists and members of the public interested in ecology and environmental science.

Free entry — booking advised.
