Life after graduation

Build your future with confidence wherever it takes you

Your journey with Ludlow University doesn’t end at graduation. As an international graduate, you’ll have access to a range of opportunities, support, and advice to help you take your next steps with confidence. Whether you plan to stay in the UK, return home, or work abroad, our dedicated teams are here to guide you through your options and help you prepare for life beyond your degree.

Planning your next steps

Graduating from Ludlow means joining a global community of alumni who are making an impact around the world. From further study to full-time work, entrepreneurship or volunteering, we’ll help you identify what’s right for you and create a plan to reach your goals.

Our international careers advisors can support you with CV writing, interview preparation, job searching, and understanding how your UK qualification is valued internationally. You can also access networking opportunities and employer events both on campus and online.

Graduate route visa

Many international students choose to stay and work in the UK after completing their degree. The Graduate Route visa allows eligible graduates to remain in the UK for up to two years (or three years for doctoral students) to work or look for work.

You don’t need a job offer to apply, and you can work in most roles at any skill level. Our International Student Support team can guide you through the application process, help you understand your rights, and advise on planning your career during this period.

Returning home or working abroad

If you decide to return to your home country or move elsewhere after graduation, you’ll still benefit from Ludlow’s global reputation and alumni network. Many graduates go on to build successful careers in government, business, education, and non-profit sectors worldwide.

Our Careers and Employability team can help you identify opportunities in your region, connect you with alumni in your field, and translate your UK experience into a competitive advantage.

Further study and research

Many Ludlow graduates choose to continue their academic journey through postgraduate study or research. Whether in the UK or overseas, we can advise you on master’s and doctoral options, scholarships, and application processes.

You’ll also have access to references, transcripts, and support with applications long after you’ve finished your course.

Stay connected

Graduating doesn’t mean goodbye. By joining the Ludlow Alumni Network, you’ll remain part of our international community. You’ll receive updates, invitations to events around the world, and access to exclusive professional development resources.

Many alumni return to mentor current students, share career advice, or collaborate on global projects — helping to support the next generation of Ludlow graduates.
